Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Delaware Tech?

"My favorite thing about working at Delaware Tech is having the opportunity to interact with college students who are passionate about educating young children, as well as with the CDC team that believes as strongly as I do in the importance of quality care and education for children. I also love interacting with the families of our enrolled children, many of whom are Delaware Tech students and staff."

Q: Why was it important for you to work at Delaware Tech?

"It is important to me that the work I do has a purpose. I have the opportunity to mentor the next generation of teachers, and care for and educate young children during those critical early years. It has been a full circle journey for me from being a Delaware Tech student to now being a staff member that can support students."

Q: What did you do before working at Delaware Tech?

"I was employed at several other childcare centers before coming here in both a teaching and an administrative capacity."

Q: What changes have you seen in yourself since you started working here?

"Being part of a childcare center that is in an educational setting has provided many opportunities to learn best practices. I am a better teacher and supervisor than I was previously, and I plan on continuing to learn more."

Q: Do you have a favorite memory from your time at Delaware Tech thus far?

"I have a lot of great memories that involve so many people that I have had the opportunity to interact with over almost 18 years; most of them are with my CDC teachers and the teamwork that enables us to have a positive impact with the CDC families and the education students."
